Why is it that others on the Non-dual path see but I don’t?

Question:

Why is it that others on the Non-dual path see, but I don’t?

Answer:

If the Advaitam [non-duality] seeing is not getting translated, it is a clear signal that there is still some Dwaitam [duality] ghost hovering around.

    • Duality knowledge must not only be set aside, but completely shunned.
    • Duality techniques must not only be set aside, but completely shunned.

This is because, when you engage with Duality knowledge and techniques, you tell yourself that you are the Waker. When you switch to Advaitam knowledge and techniques, you tell yourself that you are the Witness of the Waker. This creates major confusion within. You are responsible for creating this confusion within yourself; hence, you must take the courageous step to rid yourself of this confusion.

One-pointedness or Samaadhaan is not merely a requirement for direct seeing but a demand of Non-duality.

It is imperative at this level of higher seeing that the sincere seeker must dig the well in one spot only. You cannot reach the water by digging in multiple spots. Even an intermittent Dwaitam exposure blinds direct seeing. Shun duality completely; then only does non-duality open its doors to you. You cannot say that I will keep the duality door half-open and close the door only when non-duality opens its door. It doesn’t work that way. You are not in any negotiating position on the path of Non-duality.

Intense devotion standing behind all closed doors in the dark corridor is the ask of Non-duality.

Only keep your attention on the highest Non-dual Truth explained at the Ajaata Vaada level. It will reveal itself only to the one-pointed. Erase the second, third, fourth, fifth points. Be one-pointed; it will come to you! ‘It’s not a negotiation,’ says Brahman, ‘It’s the only way!’

A waker romana can share a little here because she was not able to see from the beginning. And first of all she decided ok I am not going to fix on the result, but I am going to explore what is the witnessing thing about. So waker decided to be aware and remener to witness every time going into a car and driving a car. First she asked the question what does it mean to be the witness? Do I see myself driving a car ? No, I can only know I am driving a car – I am not going above the waker body to witness, I just know, and hold onto it. This was a big first acha moment. Next time during another driving waker asked – can I point when I was born, how? Is it even possible to know when i was not born ? Another acha moment and here shift happened. Again I just know I am alive in this very moment Now, I don’t know anything else, just Now. Then what is this witness about? Wow it is just this knowing of what the body is performing at any moment and just notice it.
And every day self enquiry only done once a day and narrowed to the self exploration is not sufficient- it is better to explore it during ordinary tasks, but only when waker is alone – then there is no destruction.
And great thank you to the Master for pointing direction in the waking dream.

    Didi,
Could you briefly share what aspects fall under the following points:
    – Duality knowledge must not only be set aside, but completely shunned.
    – Duality techniques must not only be set aside, but completely shunned.

    Regards,
    Tanu

All knowledge and techniques that make you believe that you are the body-mind should be shunned. If a meditation technique uses breath, then it is making you assume that you are the body that breathes. It can be discarded because the Witness does not breath. The Witness only knows the breath. ‘I breathe’ is an assumption. ‘I know the breath’ is reality. Shun illusion. Embrace the reality. Take the witnessing stand and observe whatever arises naturally. This will help shun the breath technique.

The same must be applied to rites, rituals, recitation, chanting, body-postures, etc., because you-the-witness do not need these to know yourself. In fact, these become an obstacle in your abidance as the quiet witnessing field.

      Abide as the Witness!
