When someone blames you, they actually take away some negative karma from you!
Question:
Jai Gurudev Ekta didi, “When someone blames you, they actually take away some negative karma from you. Understand this and don’t put up resistance. Feel happy and lighter about it. Outside you may resist, but inside if you don’t resist, and feel happy that somebody is there to blame me and take some negative karma, you will feel immediately lighter.”
How does this exactly work? If someone is blaming us then will the exact karma get transferred to him? and what happens if we are resisting blame?
Answer:
No. 1 principle of Karma – Gahana Karmano gati – Unfathomable are the ways of karma! You never know which karma will result in what? You can never trace back any thing that has come ‘now’, back to its original karma. You may think of it as a blessing or a curse, but it is what it is!
No. 2 principle of Karma – You are responsible for everything – whether it is the previous karma with a person/thing/situation which is coming back at you now as a happy breeze or unhappy storm OR whether it is your own reaction to this breeze/storm that will come back in future. You are 100% responsible for it. Niyati or Universe or God is the postman that brings to you what is due. They are not responsible for it. It is your own karmaphalam – fruit of action/thought.
Therefore, If someone is blaming you it is probably a past karma that you had created & it is coming back to you. It is like you had taken a loan & it is pay back time. Good! Pay it up completely and become free of the loan[karma]. The longer you keep it, the more interest you have to pay.
And what is the interest? You are stuck in the cycle of birth & death as long as the karma gets exhausted. Got it?
So if something bad is happening, remind yourself, it is pay back time, pay it back as quickly as possible without creating new karma [otherwise it will begin a new loan cycle & you will have to pay that back again]. This is the meaning of being stuck in the cycle of birth & death. This is the interest you are paying, So be happy & let them take the karma away!
