Dear Ektaji,

I have been going through family turmoil with my spouse. It is getting difficult to live together. Is divorce the only way out or should I wait it out, I am confused with the chaos in my mind. The kids are also getting affected. Can you speak to my spouse? Please let me know the correct direction.

Answer:

Dear One, I empathize with your difficult familial situation. I hope that you and your family find Peace soon. I want to help you but am not an expert in Marriage and Relationship Counselling. That is a professional field that requires a different level of medical expertise for the body and mind of the Waker. I can only guide the Witness towards Spiritual Inquiry.

Psychological Counselling cannot be done without a professional in difficult emotional and life-changing situations like divorce, child upbringing, and emotional domestic trauma. It is best that one consult an appropriate professional in such cases. Just like the body needs a professional with expertise in the physical ailment field, similarly, the mind requires a professional in the mental ailment field. I am neither of them.

When the Waker’s body and mind are fit, and there is an intense seeking for the higher truth regarding one’s true identity beyond the Waker, that is where I come in. I can be regarded as a professional in the witness-level field. I can help find answers with the tools of Self-Inquiry, Self-Investigation and Direct Seeing.

I understand that one can get confused by the myriad of faux-spiritual and religious shops out there. But one must understand that they have religious agendas, dogmas and doctrines associated with their style of functioning. They might have name-fame-political-monetary agendas too. One must not rely on such avenues in special cases like relationship and familial disruption scenarios. Religious rituals can only help distract the mind from the problem for a short while, rituals cannot eradicate the problem. Spiritual techniques sold by spiritual shops can only provide a distraction for the Waker temporarily, they cannot eradicate the problem. Breathing, Mantras, Singing praises of the Lord or Guru, and Dancing, are mere distraction techniques. They serve only as much as distracting yourself with a good movie, gaming or sports would do. This is called Manolaya.

Because such religious and faux-spirituality shops sell such Mental wellness techniques, as described above, it conditions the simple man to believe that they can get all life solutions there. That is the reason that you counted me in the same bracket and approached me but it is only your effort to maintain the relationship that will triumph in the end. A Marriage Counsellor would be the best source for you.

Therefore, I will limit my availability to the Inquirers of the Witnessing Awareness and Pure Consciousness, the Investigators of the Higher Self, and the Researchers of the Greater Truths beyond the physical and the mental. Hence I call it ‘Gnyana Sangha – The assembly of Wisdom Seekers’.

There are several avenues for physical and mental wellness but very few for the sincere and earnest wisdom seeker who wants to attain the highest. Gnyana Sangha is one such avenue to transcend the physical and mental. Gnyana Sangha does not fall into the same bracket as faux-spiritual and religious shops that cater to only temporary mental relaxation. When you are ready to transcend the physical and mental, then I can help you. Feel free to reach out then. My heartfelt empathy and warm wishes are with you.

May all transcend the physical and mental and attain the spiritual through Swapna Nidra Gnyana Sadhana that takes one beyond the Waker, the Dreamer and the Deep Sleeper. if interested in beginning the Swapna Nidra Gnyana Sadhana Path, this book will help – Amazon: http://tinyurl.com/SNG-Book-Global-paperback
