Question:

Ektaji, You said that when we die we are first received by our ancestors but are they not reborn? How would we meet them then?

Answer:

The concept of time is applicable only to us humans not to the incorporeal world. Everybody does not take a birth immediately, it depends on karma when exactly the soul will take a re-birth. Therefore, it is not necessary that all my ancestors will have taken a birth by the time I leave this body. Ancestors means my parents, my grandparents, my great grand parents and so on ,as well as their families. Some may not take a body for eons. They are beyond time , something to meditate upon!
