Dear Sincere seeker,

Please find the short video clip and its transcript below for the answer to the question, Is there any emotion experienced in the knowingness/awareness?

What are emotions?

First, you have to understand emotions. Have you seen the stock market graph? It goes up-down, up-down, up-down. Like that is your internal graph. All your stocks are volatile. They are always going up-down, up-down, up-down.

Somebody says “Oh! You are looking so pretty today!” Yay! The graph goes up. Another person comes and says “You couldn’t put salt in the daal [lentil soup], you made such horrible daal today?!” Finish! Your graph comes down.

You see how you go up and down and up and down and up and down. This is emotion. Aren’t you tired of this roller coaster ride? There is a central straight line of equanimity that can only be experienced at the level of the knower/witness/consciousness/isness, the level of the Sakshi.

If you really have to strive to get anywhere in life, this is what you should strive to go. Again and again, you have to just withdraw from thoughts, perceptions, feelings, and sensations. Again and again, just withdraw. Go to that knower, the knower of the thought, the knower of the feeling, the knower of the sensation, and the knower of the perception.

Be at the knower/witness level… again and again, and again!
