How to know if I really SEE the Truth?
Dear Ektaji,
How do I know that I SEE? Doubts arise if I am manufacturing things, as you mentioned in your ‘mind-manufactured images’ blog post. I have been looking for shortcuts in life, even on the spiritual path, which I have realized only after my half-life is over. Now the urgency has dawned. How do I evaluate myself?
Answer:
My dear, it is a sign of strength to own up that you have been seeking shortcuts. It’s okay if half-life is over. It means that you have ripened. Ripening is essential on this path of self-inquiry and self-investigation. Nisargadatta Maharaj has mentioned that it doesn’t matter how many pointers I give; if one is dim-sighted, one cannot SEE. Taking it objectively, not critically, accept that the sight was dim, and now you have matured, ripened, risen from the ashes like a phoenix.
Here is a 15-minute video. I would insist that you listen carefully, if you are serious about your spiritual path and thirsty to know whether you truly SEE.
This is only a snippet; it might help answer your question. The full video titled I AM THAT Session 92 – Ch 31 – Part 2 is available freely on the website https://www.gnyanasangha.com/ and YouTube https://www.youtube.com/@NisargadattawithEktaBathija/videos.
Happy self-evaluation!

Have a Spiritual Question? Ask Ekta

Very clear. The part on looking without memory reminds me of Krishnamurti talk on ‘the observer and the observed’
