Question:

Jai gurudev! I understand that ‘Hari’ and ‘Hara’ are one and the same. Yet I want to know wearing of what is scientifically more beneficial, the rudraksha that is connected to lord shiva or the tulasi beads that are associated with lord vishnu. Kindly throw some light.

Answer:

It is more beneficial for you to go deeper into meditation and recognize the tatva called Hari and Hara 🙂 External objects do not have the impact that an internal deep dive into the Self can.

Question:

How can I channelize my Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva Shakti ?

Answer:

Through meditation by going from the external world of Maaya to the internal realm of silence and peace again and again and again.

Question:

Di, why is it so difficult to forget the past, and forgive someone you’ve loved if they have cheated you and broken your trust? It feels as if something has died inside you and you cant love that person the same way anymore.

Answer:

Yes, the image of the person that was created by YOU, inside YOU, dies when YOUR expectations are not met. Recognize that It is all YOUR creation. It has nothing to do with the other person. Let go of YOUR expectation and accept everything and everyone as they are. Then NO ONE can take YOUR happiness away. Got it?

Question:

I feel like I am God’s favorite child. I have not had to struggle much to get what I have. I am immensely grateful but I feel like I get everything without working too hard. I see people around me working tirelessly and don’t get 1/2 of what they deserve (according to me). I do understand that it is my past karma and Guru’s Grace but I also feel a strange sense of guilt for being that “favorite child”.  I do my sadhana, seva and knowledge. How do I remove that feeling of guilt and surrender in that bliss?

Answer:

Everyone is God’s favorite child that’s why God brings lessons their way so that they learn and grow faster. In fact he is focusing a lot on them, isn’t it? Just like a Mommy! Just because your lessons are less, it does not make ONLY YOU his favorite child dear 🙂

Question:

To meditate, we need some form of mental and physical energy. If you are tired or sad, how do we get this energy? Doing a class with a group helped. But it is not practically possible to find a group of like minded people [Sangha] every time. How can we continue in our practice, regardless ?

Answer:

You need to be very strong by yourself if there is no Sangha available. If today, you suddenly lose your job and your home, how aggressively will you work towards establishing yourself back into a home and job? That thirst to be settled will take over everything, right? Do you have the same kind of thirst towards your own spiritual progress? Only if the thirst is that intense then only does it happen to you. God is a thorough business man. If you give him cents, you only get only cents in return ;). If you give him the highest priority, he will be right at your door. The energy has to be self-propelled, some effort on your part is lacking…..Bitter but true….. Time for some self-introspection dear!

You are not the doer and you are not the experiencer or joy or sorrow even… Keep contemplating on this… You must find the answer within you!
