Question:

If cause and effect do not exist and all the scene is the same (a remote control cannot be differentiated from the hand using it as all this is creation as a whole….. No two), then birth, death are also a whole, then really who is getting enlightened? The creation is going on as is and will go on infinitely. For whom and why is enlightenment needed?

Answer:

A remote & the hand operating it, are both labels attached by the ‘I’ on the projected Waking World screen. Don’t focus on the projection. Quit ignoring the projector. Quit assuming that the Waking World is real. Turn towards that which is projecting the illusion of the remote and the hand.

In reality, your truth is Consciousness. You must see this experientially. No point in any intellectual discussion about it. Begin the inquiry now with Wake-Dream-Sleep exploration.

• • See (not blindly believe) that you are the space of Awareness in which there is a waking state that appears and disappears, but you-the-awareness remain constant.
  • Recognize next that the dream state appears and disappears in you, while you remain constant.
  • Recognize the absence of both Waking and Dreaming, but you remain constant.

This recognition must be experiential, not intellectual, dear. Then only does it become clear that birth & death are concepts belonging only to the temporary and illusory Waking state.

This recognition reveals that the Waking state is only a tiny part of the projection; thus, the Waking state loses its dominance. All labels shed away! All questions dissolve. Only Shunyata remains!

• • The idea of ‘Birth in the Waking’ dissolves and disappears.
  • The idea of ‘Death in the Waking’ dissolves and disappears.

When this is SEEN and KNOWN directly, not intellectualized, that is called liberation from the illusion of ‘I am the Waker in a Waking World which is permanent and real’. That which forgot its true identity of Alive Radiant Emptiness and assumed to be the Waker in a Waking World, remembers its true nature. Embracing its own Reality is called Enlightenment! That which once hypnotized itself now gets freedom from its own hypnotism.

THAT was trapped in Ignorance. THAT gets Enlightened!
